(Playoff Stats included)

10. Andre Iguodala - 2010-2011 Stats - Assists 6.3 - Points Per Game 13.9 - Blocks 0.6 - Minutes 36.8 - Rebounds 5.9 - Steals 1.5 - Games Played 72 - Age 27 - Team Philadelphia 76ers
Andre Iguodala and the Sixers

A core player for the rising Philadelphia 76ers, Andre Iguodala has dropped off in points per game in recent years. Yet, last year was a career high for Iguodala in assists per game, but he did have to fight against some injuries. With a healthy Iguodala coming into the 2011-2012 season, it will be crucial for the 76ers to keep him healthy in a shortened season that crams an average of 4 games a week. If Iquodala can help keep the 76ers together, I have a feeling there is a good chance they can be a top team in the Eastern Conference.

9. Dorell Wright - 2010-2011 Stats - Assists 3.0 - Points Per Game 16.4 - Blocks 0.8 - Minutes 38.4 - Rebounds 5.3 - Steals 1.5 - Games Played 82 - Age 26 - Team Golden State Warriors
Dorell Wright

With his breakout season in 2010-2011, it was a no brainer to put Dorell Wright on this list, in fact, I believe that by the end of the year there is a good chance he will be a lot higher on this list than he is right now. However, for me to truly believe in Dorell, I need to see consistency, it was the first time he played a full season in 2010-2011 and, I need to see him stay healthy throughout this whole year. If this 2011-2012 season turns out like 2010-2011, Wright will surely start building a legitimate name for himself as a top small forward in the NBA.

8. Michael Beasley - 2010-2011 Stats - Assists 2.2 - Points Per Game 19.2 - Blocks 0.7 - Minutes 32.3 - Rebounds 5.6 - Steals 0.7 - Games Played 73 - Age 23 - Team Minnesota Timberwolves
Michael Beasley

Having a career high in points per game last year, Michael Beasley was a very good fit for the rising Minnesota Timberwolves. At only 23, Beasley still has a lot of time to make a name for himself in the league. As he continues to develop as a player and as a star for the Timberwolves, Beasley may make himself an All-Star caliber player in the NBA.

7. Loul Deng - 2010-2011 Stats - Assists 2.8 - Points Per Game 17.3 - Blocks 0.6 - Minutes 39.7 - Rebounds 5.9 - Steals 1.0 - Games Played 98 - Age 26 - Team Chicago Bulls
Luol Deng

A crucial piece to the Bulls Lineup, good players like Loul Deng make it very easy for Derrick Rose to rack up assists as the Bulls point guard, and open up a lot more possibilities. A consistent scorer and rebounder, Deng is a great complimentary piece to Derrick Rose. As one of the favorites to win the Championship in the 2011-2012 season, the Bulls will rely on Deng to carry some of the burden for the team, and bring them off to a fantastic start to the season.

6. Danny Granger - 2010-2011 Stats - Assists 2.6 - Points Per Game 20.6 - Blocks 0.8 - Minutes 35.1 - Rebounds 5.4 - Steals 1.1 - Games Played 84 - Age 28 - Team Indiana Pacers
Regaining his form as the season went along, Granger led the Pacers to a playoff birth, and has started helped bring the Pacers to an astounding start for the 2011-2012 season. A key leader for the Pacers, Granger has carried the team numerous times throughout his career. As the pacers continue to get stronger and stronger, the Eastern Conference become an incredibly tough field this year. Yet, if the Pacers want to really make a statement this year, Granger will have to lead them to another playoff birth, and then take off during the playoffs.

5. Paul Pierce - 2010-2011 Stats - Assists 3.2 - Points Per Game 19.1 - Blocks 0.6 - Minutes 35.0 - Rebounds 5.3 - Steals 1.0 - Games Played 89 - Age 34 - Team Boston Celtics
Paul Pierce

Scoring over 20,000 career points as a Celtic. Paul Pierce is a 9 time all-star, that is currently in the latter part of his prestigious career. The 2008 finals MVP, Paul Pierce stats have started to ever so slightly decrease. Yet, even though he is already 34, Pierce still proves crucial to the Celtics line up, and shows clear experience and stardom in the playoffs and tough situations. With only a few years left in his career, the Celtics look like they will be making a final stand this year with their current group before they begin a rebuilding phase. If the Celtics are able to withstand such a tough schedule with barely any rest, Pierce and the Celtics turn into a different monster in the playoffs.

4. Rudy Gay - 2010-2011 Stats - Assists 2.8 - Points Per Game 19.8 - Blocks 1.1 - Minutes 39.8 - Rebounds 6.2 - Steals 1.7 - Games Played 84 - Age 25 - Team Memphis Grizzlies
Even with a year struck by injury, Rudy Gay had a career high in blocks, steals, assists, rebounds, and free thrown percentage last year. Furthermore, even with no real NBA training camp, Rudy Gay is one of the few players that has led his stats stumble in the beginning of the season. A key player for the Grizzlies, Rudy Gay is a seriously great piece on their team. Furthermore, he has been a consistent scorer and just continues to improve with his other stats. At the prime of his career, Rudy Gay may still have an amazing breakout season yet to come.

3. Carmelo Anthony - 2010-2011 Stats - Assists 2.9 - Points Per Game 25.6 - Blocks 0.6 - Minutes 35.7 - Rebounds 7.3 - Steals 0.9 - Games Played 77 - Age 27 - Team New York Knicks
Carmelo Anthony

The star player of the reborn New York Knicks, Carmelo Anthony is one of the best players in the whole league. One of the league leaders in points per game, Anthony has the ability to carry a team. Yet, with another star like Amare Stoudemire as his partner, the Knicks look fairly strong this year. Yet, with such a tough Eastern Conference the Knicks will really have to step it up next year. Led by Carmelo Anthony, his leadership along with Stoudermire's will prove vital for the Knicks this year, and for years to come.

2. LeBron James - 2010-2011 Stats - Assists 6.8 - Points Per Game 26.1 - Blocks 0.7 - Minutes 39.8 - Rebounds 7.7 - Steals 1.6 - Games Played 100 - Age 26 - Team Miami Heat
LeBron James
LeBron James - ShareAlike-Attribution License By Keith Allison
As LeBron James still tries to rebuild his image from being the most hated player in the NBA, it would be stupid to deny him as one of the best players in the NBA, and maybe the best player in the NBA. Reaching the NBA Finals in his first year with the Heat, James and the Heat are clear favorites for the NBA Championship this year. No matter how much you hate him, you can't deny that James produces the numbers. He might have failed to produce in the finals, but the playoff games leading to the Finals Lebron James certainly contributed his fair share. Yet, with such a strong team this year James, Wade, Bosh, and the rest of the Heat might be able to dominate the NBA this year, but with such a strong Eastern Conference anything can happen in the playoffs this year.

1. Kevin Durant - 2010-2011 Stats - Assists 2.8 - Points Per Game 27.9 - Blocks 1.0 - Minutes 39.6 - Rebounds 7.1 - Steals 1.1 - Games Played 95 - Age 22 - Team Oklahoma City Thunder
Kevin Durant
Kevin Durant - ShareAlike-Attribution License By Keith Allison
At only 23 years old, I have a very good feeling Kevin Durant will be the MVP for the 2011-2012 season, and lead the Oklahoma City Thunder to the NBA Finals and maybe an NBA Championship. Durant earns the number one spot because at such a young age, Durant still hasn't had the chance to fully mix talent with experience, until this year. I feel that Durant will able to use both to make himself the best in the NBA this year. In addition, as the league leader in points per game last year, Kevin Durant will be very hard to slow down when he is on fire, and with a clearly weaker Western Conference there might be days where he just stomps on the opponents. The amount of talent Durant has is incredible, and this year might be the year he really shines as one of the best, if not the best player in the NBA.
